Besalp
Secure Password Link.
Encrypt a password in your browser, share it with an expiring link, and let the recipient decrypt it on their device. No account required.
How it works
- Enter your password and choose 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days.
- Your browser encrypts it using AES-256-GCM and creates a secure link.
- Share the full link with your intended recipient.
- The recipient opens the link and decrypts the password in their browser.
You can revoke a link from the creation page while it remains open. Links can be used repeatedly until expiry or revocation. Copies already received cannot be revoked.
Create secure linkFrequently asked questions
Does Besalp receive my password or decryption key?
Your browser sends only encrypted content and the information needed to store it. The password and decryption key are not sent to the API. The key is carried in the link fragment and used by the recipient’s browser.
Who can open a secure link?
Anyone with the full link can access the password while the link is valid. Share it only with the intended recipient through a channel you trust.
When does a link expire?
You choose 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days. Access is blocked immediately at expiry. Expired encrypted records are deleted during subsequent page or API requests; without traffic, cleanup waits until the next eligible request.
Do I need an account?
No. Creating and opening links requires no account. JavaScript, a secure HTTPS connection and a browser supporting Web Crypto and masked text display are required.
What does the security check show?
It checks the secure browser context, cryptography, local encryption and tamper detection, and connectivity to the service.
Privacy and storage
The server stores encrypted content, a nonce, a random link identifier, the expiry time and a hashed revocation token. Besalp does not store a central password decryption key.
Short-lived, pseudonymized IP counters help prevent abuse. Minute counters expire at their window boundary; the global daily creation counter expires at midnight UTC. Expired counters are removed during request-driven cleanup. Hosting access logs and backups depend on the provider’s configuration.
Clipboard copies remain outside the app’s control. Use a trusted device and browser when sharing confidential information.
